How is Trejo's Spirits different?
Danny Trejo has been sober since 1968. He made Trejo's Spirits so people who don't drink can still enjoy a great cocktail with friends, with all the flavor and none of the alcohol.
What do they taste like?
Tequila Alternative: citrus and sweet roasted agave with a warm, peppery finish.
American Whiskey Alternative: rich and warm, with the depth of a classic bourbon-style whiskey.
Gin Alternative: red berries and red peppercorn, a touch of cucumber, and a juniper finish.
Do they contain any alcohol?
No. All of our spirits are 0.0% alcohol.
Will I get a buzz?
No. There is no alcohol, so there is no buzz. You get the taste of a real cocktail without the effects.
Is it OK if I'm staying sober?
Our spirits are made for people who don't drink. Everyone's path is different, though, so do what's right for your own sobriety.
Is it safe to drink if I'm pregnant?
There's no alcohol in it, but please check with your doctor first.
What are the ingredients?
We use natural flavors: essences, extracts and distillates from around the world. Because there's no alcohol to keep it fresh, we add potassium sorbate, a common food preservative. The full ingredient list is on each bottle.
Are they vegan and gluten free?
Yes. All of our spirits are vegan and gluten free.
I have food allergies. Can I drink it?
Please read the ingredient list on the bottle or product page. If you have a serious allergy, check with your doctor before trying something new.
How many calories?
Our Tequila Alternative has 5 calories per serving. See the label on each bottle for the whiskey and gin.
How do I store it, and how long does it last once open?
Close it tightly with the original cap. Don't leave it open or use a pour spout. After opening, keep it in the fridge and finish it within 12 weeks. Don't let it freeze.
What's the best way to enjoy it?
Use it anywhere you'd use tequila, whiskey or gin. Try a margarita, an Old Fashioned or a G&T. See our cocktail recipes for ideas.
